Naomie April and the Moments is a meeting of minds, with every song made, a world is built. Named with the intent of being in the present, their music has a way of pulling you into the moment with them. Launched by Naomie April, who was born and raised in Mills River, NC.
The core members include Micah Thomas (Drums), Alex Taub (piano), Alex Travers(Violin) and Naomie April( Vocals/Piano). Each band member and feature artists brings a different influence/ background of genres to pull from, I.e. Jazz, pop, rock, country, blue grass, funk, ska, classical.. Some describe their music as "Jazzalachian"- A mix of jazz, indie, appalachian and pop!
At their shows you may find yourself dancing, crying, laughing, and hanging on every word as each song tells a different story. They have mastered the craft of speaking a language through their music.
